We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals with complex and critical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the interprofessional care team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
- Patient Education and Support: Teach patients and their families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to promote self-care and independence.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities to support staff as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications and Training: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
