Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Bell Person/Valet Attendant to join our team at The Westin Nova Scotian. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm welcomes and farewells to guests, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
  • Assist guests with luggage and packages, using baggage carts as needed.
  • Supply guests with directions, travel information, and other helpful insights to enhance their stay.
  • Receive and mark baggage by completing and attaching claim checks.
  • Run errands for guests and deliver messages and room service orders.
  • Explain the operation of room features and amenities to guests.
  • Maintain clean lobby and entrance areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all.
  • Transport guests about premises and local areas, or arrange for transportation as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driver's abstract required.
  • 1 year of experience in a hotel or a related customer service field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work long hours and some back-to-back shifts, as needed.
  • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
  • Near Vision – ability to see details at close range.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time.
  • Must have good oral and written comprehension and be able to convey information and ideas clearly in English.
  • Multi-lingual skills an asset.
