Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer and Project Leader to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading projects and teams in the development of automation, instrumentation, and control systems. Your expertise will be essential in helping us deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and teams in the development of automation, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and scope definitions
  • Allocate tasks to technicians and drafters, review their work, and assess the technical scope
  • Be involved in commissioning and pre-operational verifications
  • Help prepare plans and specifications, as well as detailed engineering deliverables
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCSs), and human-machine interfaces
  • Monitor projects to ensure they remain on time and on budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • 5-12 years of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation, and control
  • Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
  • Experience in pre-operational verifications (POVs) and commissioning
  • Bilingualism (English and French) and ability to draft technical documents in both languages
  • Knowledge of DCS
