About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation solutions for process control, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Lead technical teams in the development and implementation of automation projects
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
  • Participate in business development and identify new opportunities for automation solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant field
  • 7-12 years of experience in automation engineering, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Member of a Canadian professional engineering association
  • Practical experience in instrumentation and control design, system troubleshooting, commissioning, and implementation
  • Experience with SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems
  • Site experience and a focus on occupational safety
  • Bilingual (English and French) and strong skills in drafting reports
