Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist conducts thorough evaluations of referred patients and formulates individualized treatment plans. These treatment plans encompass a variety of interventions, including but not limited to: the provision of suitable aids and adaptations; ensuring the availability of necessary equipment for optimal seating; maintaining skin integrity and health through appropriate equipment; delivering cognitive stimulation; and facilitating training in Activities of Daily Living (A.D.L.). The Occupational Therapist is dedicated to upholding the standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists and is committed to delivering high-quality care in a safe and ethical manner. Furthermore, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for practicing within their professional scope and engaging in both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary activities aimed at fostering a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Valid BCLS Certification, maintained throughout employment
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for report preparation, result interpretation, and providing training and guidance
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Reliable attendance and availability are essential
