Stock Handler

At ALBERTA LTD, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Handler to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Determine Method of Shipment: Collaborate with our transportation team to select the most efficient and cost-effective method of shipping goods.
- Schedule Distribution of Goods: Plan and coordinate the distribution of goods to our customers and partners.
- Schedule Transportation Conveyances: Arrange for the transportation of goods to and from our warehouse.
- Prepare Shipping Documents: Create and manage all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading and invoices.
- Assemble Containers and Crates: Ensure that all goods are properly packaged and prepared for shipping.
- Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure they match our orders.
- Maintain Internal Record-Keeping System: Accurately record and track all inventory movements and transactions.
- Record Shortages and Reject Damaged Goods: Identify and document any discrepancies or damage to goods.
- Route Goods to Appropriate Storage Areas: Ensure that all goods are stored in a safe and secure manner.
- Pack Goods to be Shipped: Prepare goods for shipping by packing and labeling them correctly.
- Unpack Goods Received: Unpack and inspect all incoming goods to ensure they are in good condition.
- Oversee Loading and Unloading of Goods: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure they are handled safely and efficiently.
- Pay and Receive Payments for Goods: Manage all financial transactions related to the purchase and sale of goods.
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 35 hours per week
