Job Title: Stock Handler

YK TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stock Handler to join our team. As a Stock Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine Method of Shipment: Identify the most suitable method of shipment for goods, taking into account factors such as weight, size, and destination.
  • Schedule Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
  • Prepare Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assemble Containers: Safely assemble containers and crates to protect goods during transit.
  • Inspect and Verify Goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant data.
  • Record Shortages and Reject Damaged Goods: Identify and record any shortages or damaged goods, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Unpack Goods: Safely unpack goods received and ensure they are stored in a secure and organized manner.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Supervise Material Handlers: Provide guidance and oversight to material handlers and helpers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Process Payments: Process payments for goods received and ensure accurate financial records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
