CB Canada has a long-standing reputation for delivering dependable and secure transportation services for students throughout the country. As a prominent player in the student transport sector, we prioritize safety, exemplary customer service, and positive workplace relationships. We are in search of a School Bus Maintenance Technician I (Red Seal Licensed Bus Mechanic).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses issues and executes vehicle repairs and related tasks within the scope of qualifications, adhering to all applicable Federal, State/Provincial, and local regulations. Conducts test drives to confirm that repairs have rectified the issues.
- Coordinates and secures necessary inspections and approvals for all significant repairs prior to the vehicle's release from the maintenance facility.
- Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient workspace, ensuring compliance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial, and local regulations.
- Identifies and communicates any additional maintenance or repairs deemed necessary during the execution of assigned tasks, including those requiring higher-level technician qualifications.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid 310T or 310S certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance within a heavy-duty shop, including repair and engine rebuilds on diesel trucks or buses.
- Hands-on experience with diesel and/or gasoline engines in a high-paced, large fleet bus, charter, or trucking environment.
- Proficient in computerized diagnostic tools.
- General knowledge of shop computer systems, purchasing, and budget management.
