We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join the Student Support Services team, specifically in the area of Student Wellbeing and Inclusion, as a Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) Coach. This role involves offering guidance to educational institutions in the application of positive behavior strategies and skills development supports. Responsibilities may include implementing supports for entire classes, assisting with individual behavior support plans and safety protocols, delivering professional development, conducting behavior and developmental evaluations, and providing direct instruction as needed.

Essential Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Special Education or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a collaborative environment to develop, implement, and assess positive behavior interventions and supports for children and youth
  • Experience with children and youth diagnosed with autism and other developmental challenges
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or currently under supervision to achieve BCBA certification

Candidates with equivalent education, training, and/or experience may also be considered.

Additional Information

This position is designated within the Yukon public service and requires the following employment conditions:
