About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Next Power Inc. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
  • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Project cash flow and financing requirements
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction estimating
  • Basic security clearance
