About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromyography Technologist to join our team at the University Health Network. As an integral member of our Schroeder Pain Assessment and Rehabilitation Research Centre (SPARC) department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of transforming lives and communities through excellence in care, discovery, and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Electromyography and Evoked Potentials (EMG and EP) procedures in an outpatient clinic, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to ensure effective and efficient performance.
  • Prepare and document electronic and written reports to record test results and procedures.
  • Participate in teaching, training, and educational activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Kinesiology, Neuroscience).
  • Three to five years of practical experience in a related field.
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (CAET) and/or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and ability to exercise initiative and good judgment.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
