Project Overview
The Farmland Trust Society (FLT) has recently developed a facility designed for the secure storage and processing of locally grown produce. This facility aims to support agricultural initiatives and educational programs. Currently, FLT is seeking funding to complete the interior setup of this facility, which includes essential systems such as potable water. This next phase encompasses the design, specification, procurement, and installation of necessary interior elements including climate control systems, commercial kitchen appliances, office furniture, and more.
Project Goals
The primary objective is to prepare and submit a successful funding proposal by the designated deadline. The proposal will integrate community feedback gathered during consultations, ensuring that priorities are appropriately addressed.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven project management experience at an intermediate or senior level
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to monitor and guide a project under tight timelines
- Experience in remote work environments
- Familiarity with crafting online funding proposals is advantageous
- Background in the non-profit sector is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Scope of Responsibilities
The Volunteer Project Manager will oversee the proposal development team, ensuring that all critical tasks are scheduled and delegated effectively to meet submission deadlines. Continuous progress tracking and proactive measures to mitigate any potential delays will be essential due to the stringent timeline. A member of the FLT Board will lead the community outreach efforts, primarily through local engagement initiatives. The Project Manager will ensure these activities are well-planned and executed in alignment with the project timeline. They will also play a key role in analyzing and prioritizing community input to inform the project design while adhering to budget constraints.

Accountability
The Volunteer Project Manager will hold full accountability for project deliverables, reporting directly to the Board Chair.
