Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Child Care Provider to assist in the nurturing and supervision of children within a family setting. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of children.

Work Details
  • Work Term: Temporary
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with toilet training as guided by parents
  • Take full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
  • Accompany family on trips, providing child supervision and assistance with household tasks
  • Care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Implement discipline strategies as requested by parents
  • Teach children personal hygiene and social skills
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Assist children in preparing for rest periods
  • Supervise and provide care for children
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments
  • Support the emotional well-being of children
  • Assist with homework
  • Prepare meals
