Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Child Care Provider to assist in the daily care and supervision of children within a family setting. This role requires a compassionate individual who can support the emotional and physical needs of children while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Term: Temporary
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking household
  • Work will be conducted in the employer's home
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment)
Daily Tasks
  • Assist with toilet training and follow parental guidance
  • Take full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • Accompany family on trips, providing child supervision and housekeeping support
  • Care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Implement discipline strategies as requested by parents
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information
  • Ensure a safe and healthy living environment
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Assist children in transitioning to rest periods

Qualifications
  • Ability to supervise and care for a diverse group of children
