About The Role - Full Stack Developer

Terra Insights stands at the forefront of geotechnical and geospatial monitoring solutions. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to create high-performance data visualization applications.

We are part of Orica Digital Solutions, a global technology enterprise focused on mining and civil infrastructure sectors.

Role Dimensions

This position offers a hybrid work schedule based in Canada.



Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop GIS and data visualization applications that significantly impact safety, productivity for businesses, and environmental sustainability.
  • Implement responsive and visually engaging designs to ensure a seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
  • Quickly develop new, legacy-free web applications.
  • Produce well-documented, clean, and modular code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, conduct code reviews, and actively engage in technical discussions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant roles, including:
  • Web development with a focus on modern frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack).
  • Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Websockets, and OAuth.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes.


Educational Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Desired Skills
  • Experience with common web-based GIS frameworks, such as ArcGIS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of real-time applications (SignalR, Socket.IO).
  • Understanding of spatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefiles) and geospatial data visualization techniques.
  • Experience with data plotting and engineering applications.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET development is a plus but not mandatory.
