Job Description

**Job Title:** Retail Store Leader

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Leader to join our team at JRoss Retail Recruiters. As a Retail Store Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail operations, including managing a team of sales associates, implementing sales and merchandising initiatives, and maintaining a successful store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations: Oversee all aspects of retail operations, including budgetary control, inventory control, and staff supervision.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and schedule employees, as well as coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
  • Customer Service: Establish a rapport with potential and current customers, and positively promote the brand within the store community.
  • Financial Management: Achieve the store's financial objectives by working with the Area Manager to identify store targets, and labor costs, analyzing store expenses/variances, and initiating any corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Control all activities related to inventory control, including merchandising of products, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, rotating stock, accepting products, and balancing inventory.
  • Point of Sale System: Utilize the point of sale system for sales and reporting in order to make effective decisions and monitor store results.
  • Training and Compliance: Train staff and enforce all corporate policies to maintain brand compliance, as well as legislative and legal business requirements.
  • Store Maintenance: Organize general maintenance and cleaning activities of the store.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Store Manager in a retail environment.
  • A proven track record of managing a team and building a great working relationship with both employees and customers in a retail environment.
  • An exceptional communicator with professional/polished interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all types of people.
  • Highly organized and shows initiative in planning and implementing ideas and programs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business-building, brand marketing, and sales experience.
  • Comfortable using MS Office software and a Point of Sale system, as well as reading/understanding reports, invoices, etc.
