**Job Summary**

The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of the organization's warehouse operations. This includes responsibilities ranging from receiving and inventory control to picking, loading, safety, and security.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensuring employees adhere to policies, processes, and performance standards.
  • Supporting the rollout of new processes, providing training support
  • Training, supervising, and overseeing reporting personnel in designated areas.
  • Maintaining targets, objectives, and goals throughout induction processes
  • Implementing/supervising safe practices and ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Coordinating effective communications with internal and external clients
  • Assisting in annual reviews for all warehouse associates
  • Managing and controlling the yard, inbound and outbound flow
  • Managing the shipping of all products to other Metro facilities
  • Ensuring proper processes with a focus on identifying damages and ensuring stop dates
  • Supervising all warehouse personnel, including hiring, scheduling, and development
  • Overseeing all receiving activities to ensure on-time delivery and monitoring yard management.
  • Supervising billing for all warehousing storage
  • Supervising hours/payroll and all warehouse operations employees
  • Ensuring the completion and sign-off of the end-of-day checklist
  • Sending end-of-day reports to leadership up to the regional level after each shift
  • Ensuring a proper handoff to the next shift supervisor
  • Completing end-of-day checklists and reports
  • Performing disciplinary actions when required

**Requirements**

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership position with a proven track record
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and leadership
