About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote our organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
    • Design and execute communication plans to engage stakeholders and promote our organization's activities
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders
  • Public Relations and Media Relations
    • Manage media relations and respond to media inquiries
    • Develop and disseminate press releases and other media materials
  • Content Creation
    • Develop and edit written content, including reports, briefs, and website content
    • Design and produce visual content, including graphics and videos
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Develop and execute event plans to promote our organization's activities and engage stakeholders
    • Coordinate logistics and ensure successful event execution
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure team members are equipped to perform their duties
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
    • 2-3 years of experience in communications or a related field
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong media relations and public speaking skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
