Job Title: PR and Communications Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled PR and Communications Manager to join our marketing team. As a key member of our team, you will drive the development, management, and execution of our public relations and media relations strategy to build company awareness through impactful stories, written content, and positive coverage in key publications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute yearly and quarterly public relations plans that meet business goals, including the promotion of industry leadership, products/services, and other marketing campaigns
  • Develop story angles and messages with industry marketing managers to proactively contact the media with story ideas, interviews
  • Act as the primary PR liaison and manager of press requests and activities, and manage media relations across multiple vertical markets to cultivate and maintain positive media coverage for Haivision
  • Write press releases, bylined articles, and interview responses, and circulate for internal approval
  • Interview customers and write up customer case studies for use with the media, website, and blog
  • Track editorial calendars for all relevant publications and pitch stories or new product announcements maximizing editorial coverage for the company across all vertical markets
  • Coordinate, prepare, and support Haivision spokespersons for media interviews
  • Research tradeshows and industry events to identify speaking opportunities and work with subject matter experts to craft and submit speaking abstracts
  • Track and analyze media coverage and report back to key stakeholders on results
  • Provide writing support for key marketing and organizational efforts as required, including writing copy for website, emails, blog posts, digital marketing campaigns, video scripts, and other ad hoc promotional materials
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent work experience (or University degree in marketing, media relations, communications, or related field)
  • 5+ years' experience in public relations, preferably with experience with business-to-business technologies
  • Experience in media relations and issues management, spokesperson training, special events, etc.
  • Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven organization
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Team player willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
