Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for managing and developing comprehensive test plans, executing test processes, and coordinating testing activities across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage test plans for each project assigned, identifying tasks, dependencies, and participants required to execute the test plan.
  • Review and update test plans to accommodate changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Prepare and provide status reports to management.
  • Develop and maintain metrics dashboards for testing phases and project completion.
  • Provide artifacts for project Steering Committee status reports.
  • Ensure timely delivery of committed work within scheduled timeframes and milestones.
  • Follow established test processes, ensuring required test plans, scripts, and tools are in place before test execution.
  • Manage test environments and tools, such as TestRail, during test execution and change requests.
  • Collaborate with multiple vendors, internal teams, and application streams to ensure coordinated delivery of committed work.
  • Ensure test documentation meets company standards, recording and maintaining content and structure to company standards.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor analysis, design, implementation, and execution of test cases, procedures, and scripts.
  • Support development of testing scripts and workflows for project-based User Acceptance Testing.
  • Update and maintain consolidated SharePoint issues logs for assigned projects.
  • Work with vendors to resolve software issues and retest.
  • Escalate project requirements issues to Project Managers.
  • Support knowledge transfer sessions to team members.
  • Anticipate and resolve potential delays in achieving test schedules.
  • Regularly meet with project managers to provide updates and escalations.
  • Regularly meet with the test team to ensure awareness of team members' activities.
  • Support preparation of Risk Mitigation plans for potential delays.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Test Analyst.
  • 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities & Health Care IT implementations.
  • Experience with software quality control concepts, defect resolution processes, and practices.
  • Experience developing project test plans, creating, updating, and reviewing test documentation and artifacts.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding testing effort by analyzing project requirements and estimating time, resources, and budget required for testing.
  • Experience using modern Test Tools for test case management, requirements, inventory, defect tracking, and results documentation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive progress independently.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology requirements and apply them in a clinical context.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, process orientation, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of hospital/clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards, preferably gained in the Municipal or Governmental Healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clinical and business stakeholders and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Direct experience designing and implementing testing in a large, complex multi-stakeholder environment.
