Commercial & Risk Deputy Director
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial and Risk Deputy Director to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Change Management: Develop and implement processes to administer, document, and accept/challenge/defend incoming and outgoing change requests throughout project execution. Implement claim management processes to resolve unforeseen situations that arise during project development and execution.
- Notices: Implement an effective system to ensure that all contractually-required notices are delivered to the client in accordance with the terms of the project agreement.
- Contract Negotiation: Supervise the drafting, review, and negotiation of various contracts, including specific services contracts, master services agreements, commissioning contracts, engineering contracts, settlement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, construction contracts, and procurement contracts.
- Supplier/Subcontractor Procurement: Implement and monitor procurement scheduling and plans, facilitate competitive tendering processes for materials, goods, services, and equipment.
- Commercial Reporting: Issue regular reporting and analytics on commercial issues to Executives (internal and JV ExCo) and Project Managers.
- Insurance: Engage with client's insurance advisors to develop appropriate Project insurance programs and coverages.
- Legal: Exercise proper judgment to engage with client's legal advisors to seek advice at the appropriate times.
- Commercial Management of Project Close Out/Post Practical Completion: Ensure commercial activities are effective and results-focused.
- People Leadership: Lead and align a team of commercial direct reports to the Project and AtkinsRéalis' priorities by focusing the teams' activities and holding each individual accountable for results.

Requirements:
- In-depth expertise in key commercial functions such as contract formation, negotiation, management, performance oversight, risk management, change management, and claims handling.
- Extensive experience with various project delivery and contract models within the engineering sector.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Leadership in developing and managing a commercial team, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, aligned with the company's goals, and kept up-to-date with evolving processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent commercial results in complex, challenging environments.
