Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

AMK TRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Documentation: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, attention to detail, and willingness to travel for extended periods.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver with AMK TRANSPORT LTD, you will be working in a fast-paced transportation environment, with regular travel across the country. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
