About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Woodland Park Housing Co-operative. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent damage or safety hazards.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including power tools, power lawn mowers, security systems, and small tractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including WHMIS certification.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our properties and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and residents to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
