Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our Underground Utilities team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing crews to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Crew Leadership and Development
    • Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman, and other field staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
    • Identify and develop talent within the team to ensure succession planning and growth.
  • Safety and Risk Management
    • Work closely with Safety Advisors to ensure all projects are performed safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment and effective project execution.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a superintendent role.
    • 3-5 years of experience in Underground Utilities construction.
  • Certifications and Skills
    • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate.
    • WHMIS 2015 certification.
    • Ground Disturbance Level II certification.
    • Leadership for Safety Excellence certification.
    • Strong computer skills and experience working with software programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel) and Proprietary Software.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Proficient English language skills.
