About the Role

SolidCAD, a leading Autodesk Platinum Partner in Canada, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Consultant to join our Civil Infrastructure & SIG division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions and exceptional customer service to our clients across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our sales team to identify and develop high-value service opportunities aligned with our team's objectives and technical strengths.
  • Analyze client needs and provide formal responses to commercial scenarios and challenges, including proposals, work statements, recommendations, and project plans.
  • Perform pre-sales activities, process evaluations, discovery calls, concept proofs, and technology demonstrations. Post-sales, provide consulting, software training, implementation, and support services.
  • Assist clients in defining workflows, customizations, and standards related to their use of Civil 3D and complementary technologies.
  • Work with our internal team to contribute to responses to RFPs.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with clients and internal teams. Contribute to meeting notes, delegate tasks, review completed work, and document issues, risks, or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate project files in Salesforce.
  • Support the marketing team in creating project success stories and content for the website and social media channels. Participate in marketing events.
  • Stay up-to-date with Autodesk's infrastructure civil solutions and industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D for land surveying, land development, transportation, drainage, and landscape design applications.
  • Familiarity with project workflow and production of design deliverables, adhering to specific CAO standards for civil engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the civil infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in training and mentoring at a professional level related to technology design, including a deep understanding of workflows, roles, and deliverables in a typical civil engineering project.
  • Understand the fundamentals of software deployment, licenses, and configuration concepts, particularly regarding models, project configuration, standards, and content management.
  • Strong documentation skills to provide design solutions, technical proposals, and training documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage variable workloads, and take initiatives to ensure task completion.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills for optimal interactions between clients, technical teams, sales teams, operations, and management.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the province and occasionally in other Canadian provinces.
  • Bilingual (English/French).
