Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to our team members, ensuring the effective management of corporate critical application support activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mentorship and technical advice to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the management of employee development and training programs.
  • Communicate effectively with users, co-workers, and management to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Provide technical expertise on a wide range of strategic, financial, regulatory, safety, and reputational impactful applications.
  • Analyze and respond to complex incidents, problem reports, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain software code, including writing new code, modifying existing code, and integrating software code using a source control system.
  • Maintain a library of application code, including updates and access records.
Requirements
  • 2-year diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8 years' related work experience.
  • Competency in managing medium to large projects.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Immediate knowledge of data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, security, and related supporting infrastructure.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and perform duties in a professional manner.
