About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Manager to join our team at Landmark Cinemas. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our theatre, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve theatre operations, including labour cost management, cost of sales control, and revenue growth.
  • Manage the food service department, including revenue generation, effective scheduling, equipment maintenance, and food safety.
  • Execute all food service programs, including training and coaching of frontline staff, and providing management guidance and direction.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to alcohol service, including training, inventory management, and service standards.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue growth.
  • Communicate effectively with management teams, including the General Manager and Operational Leaders, and collaborate with the Regional In-Theatre Sales Team.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, including greeting and engaging with guests, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in guest service, and providing consistent performance feedback to all levels of staff.
  • Work safely, and ensure all staff are aware of and follow work safe practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a movie theatre, QSR, or retail environment.
  • Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, entertainment, or food service management is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of food production, food safety, merchandising, food service sales, revenue, and inventory control procedures.
  • Proven track record in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
