Network Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at InSync Systems, a privately-owned boutique Canadian Resourcing and Consulting Services Company. Our company works closely with a range of corporate clients across multiple industries to bring them solutions that effectively address their business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Plan IT Infrastructure: Develop and implement architecture for IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networks, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Hardware Installation and Configuration: Oversee the installation and configuration of physical hardware and software operating systems to meet business requirements.
- System Administration: Manage and configure servers and networks to ensure security measures are implemented and systems are running efficiently.
- Performance Monitoring and Error Resolution: Monitor systems for performance and errors, and take corrective action to resolve issues.
- Data Protection: Implement backup strategies and mitigation practices to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Security Management: Identify, implement, and monitor alert and detection systems, as well as database servers, to ensure security and compliance.
- Database Environment Design and Administration: Design, implement, and update database environments, including operational administration, maintenance, and backups.
- Security Risk Assessments: Conduct Hazard Risk Vulnerability Assessments (HRVA) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Develop and refine Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans related to critical services and infrastructure.
- Plan Testing and Auditing: Implement, test, and audit Emergency Management (EM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Experience: Minimum eight (8) years of experience as an Infrastructure Technical Analyst, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience with system migration/data migration projects.
- IT and Telecom Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of IT and telecom experience, preferably within the last seven (7) years.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing and prioritizing large, multiple complex projects, including but not limited to Single Sign-On (SSO), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Performance Monitoring, and Tuning.
- Certifications: Cloud Infrastructure Certification (GCP, Azure) and Network Security Certification (CISSP, CompTIA) are assets.
