Senior Network Architect

BQ International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join their Network Infrastructure Operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and administer the enterprise network environment, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN services.
- Network Planning: Help prepare plans for development and installation of network devices according to present and future requirements and standards.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support, administration, and engineering for enterprise network infrastructure devices.
- System Monitoring: Monitor, performance tune, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems to ensure system availability.
- Disaster Recovery: Manage and maintain network disaster recovery, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing.
- Network Patch Management: Work with network patch management processes and procedures to facilitate deployment.
- System Integrity: Maintain systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers.
- Team Collaboration: Accomplish department objectives by working with other team members, organizing, and monitoring work processes.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Follow Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities.
- Team Meetings: Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Scalable Network Solutions: Work with the Enterprise and Solution Architecture team, Enterprise Security, and other business leads to establish scalable network solutions.
- Representative: Act as a representative of Information Systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of recent and practical network engineer experience, including 5 years in a senior network engineer role. Proven proficiency in working with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN Controllers, and WAPs is required. Experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/WLAN networks in a multi-site environment is also essential.
The resource will be required on-site at BQ International Ltd.'s Head Office, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional travel to support offices across the province will be required. A valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License or equivalent is mandatory for consideration.
