Role Overview:
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in credit risk modeling, monitoring, reporting, and analytics. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a deep understanding of available data to fulfill analytical responsibilities.
- Creating, validating, executing, and refining risk and revenue models, including probability of default models and risk scorecards.
- Conducting thorough analyses on extensive datasets using advanced data analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and Power BI, while generating insightful reports on model and portfolio performance.
- Utilizing advanced analytics to provide insights and forecasts on credit risk topics, contributing to informed recommendations regarding credit strategy.
- Collaborating with external teams to implement recommended changes in credit strategies and associated processes.
- Designing and automating executive-level dashboards using cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and monitoring risk and revenue models.
- Assisting in the formulation of underwriting criteria for retail lending products.
- Supporting the implementation of models and strategies in production systems.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation for reports and models.
- Tracking and validating model performance.
- Conducting credit risk analytics and collaborating with senior team members to formulate strategic recommendations.
- Identifying issues proactively and conducting further analysis to resolve queries.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in credit risk reporting.
- Translating broad business inquiries into actionable analytical steps.
- Compiling analyses to create compelling narratives.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are an ideal candidate if you possess:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis within financial services, preferably in retail lending.
- At least 1 year of experience in credit risk management.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with credit card and mortgage portfolios is advantageous.
- Skills in designing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience in developing risk and forecasting models, including machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with BIG Query is a plus.
- Power BI certification and experience in data manipulation using Microsoft Power BI language are preferred.
