Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for maintaining the integrated library system functions of the Board.
  • Catalog library materials according to professional standards.
  • Provide in-school support to Teacher-Librarians with cataloging and library management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Board policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Library and Information Technology from a recognized college/university.
  • Three (3) years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Expert knowledge of Canadian Subject Headings (CSH), Dewey Decimal System, Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2R), Sears List of Subject Headings, and MARC bibliographic and authorities format.
