About the Role

Crafted1885 is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our food service management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Establish and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely food preparation and service.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
    • Supervise and check the work of kitchen staff, providing feedback and guidance to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports, providing management with key performance indicators and insights into kitchen operations.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our business decisions.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns, providing a high level of service and ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
    Requirements
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service management role.
    • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of pressure.
    • Physical demands of the role include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
