We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Brunel. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of our lubricant's client in Mississauga, ON.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Safe and Efficient Maintenance: Supervise maintenance activities to guarantee safe, efficient, and timely execution of preventative and predictive maintenance plans.
- Develop and Implement Training Programs: Develop training programs to ensure maintenance technicians are trained and competent to complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
- Lead by Example: Foster a disciplined approach to safety within the maintenance group and maintain a visible presence in the field to promote employee engagement and communication.
- Performance Management: Perform performance management of direct reports by consistently applying the collective agreement and completing annual performance reviews.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage time entry of assigned craft persons, administer the attendance management process, and ensure all regulatory documents and audits are up-to-date.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot problems to minimize production reduction or downtime and update job completion on assigned work orders.
- 5+ years of refinery maintenance or operations experience
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Electrical or Instrumentation Certificate of Qualification or Engineering degree required
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures
- Supervisory knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with diverse stakeholders in a unionized environment
- Business savvy, understanding how to manage competing priorities
