Become a vital part of our team at McNally Contractors as an Asphalt Raking Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with the critical function of redistributing asphalt material, preparing it for compaction, and executing various labor-intensive responsibilities. Reporting directly to a Foreman, you will collaborate with a dedicated paving crew to uphold the integrity and quality of the asphalt surface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently spread asphalt using a rake to ensure even distribution.
  • Reallocate asphalt mix from the screed to prepare for rolling.
  • Remove excess asphalt and clear debris from the work area.
  • Maintain accurate match points for asphalt mix application.
  • Blend and level seams to create a smooth asphalt surface.
  • Adjust the angle and depth of the asphalt screed as needed.
  • Compact asphalt mix in hard-to-reach areas.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in asphalt raking is required.
  • Familiarity with asphalt and raking techniques is essential.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
