MatrixHR is currently recruiting a Paving Foreman for a client in Lethbridge, AB. This role involves supervising assigned crews and equipment to ensure work meets jurisdictional specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise work at assigned jobsites, conducting daily field inspections and identifying work and personnel issues.
  • Verify accuracy of material delivery bills of lading and notify supervisors of discrepancies.
  • Maintain a steady workflow by ensuring materials are available before they are needed.
  • Record and report all necessary information for the jobsite.
  • Ensure uniformity and compliance with contract specifics.
  • Review, complete, and correct all required documentation, including daily time sheets, tailgate meetings, and incident reporting.
  • Inform team members of their duties, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Be aware of and inform employees of any changes in company policies and government legislation.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with extensive experience in related construction activities.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the road construction industry.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Paving is required.
  • Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Board Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Valid Class 5 Operator's License, with a clean Driver's Abstract.
