Job Overview: Project Execution Specialist - Quebec
Reporting to the Director of Project Execution - Sustainable Infrastructures in Canada, the Project Execution Specialist for Quebec will oversee the financial integrity and implementation of energy performance agreements within the Quebec region. This role entails comprehensive monthly reporting on Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) executed for Johnson Controls (JCCLP) and its clients. The monthly reports will encompass financials, project oversight, development, engineering, and risk management/warranty verification as detailed below:
Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to EPC and client safety protocols at the highest standards and actively engage in incident reporting and investigations.Project Oversight:
Act as the project management representative for all pre-contract initiatives. Track project timelines for each undertaking across Canada.Supervise project documentation and financial tracking to guarantee precise and timely records and reports to clients and within Johnson Controls.Engage in significant subcontracting negotiations.Negotiate proposed modifications for each project with clients.Project Development and Engineering:
Support sales in strategy, content, and execution. Monitor scope, financial tracking, and forthcoming contract assembly. This role includes direct supervision of project managers, construction managers, project coordinators, and site supervisors essential for project execution, alongside matrix collaboration with all resources involved in development, delivery, and monitoring.Execution Methodology:
Take an active role through video conferencing or in-person participation in all client workshops, as well as weekly/bi-weekly meetings for ongoing EPC projects. Remote involvement in internal reviews with a leading role in backlogs, governance reviews, and pre-contract assessments. Lead internal backlogs, governance, and pre-contract evaluations. Complete weekly time and attendance records for accurate project cost reflection.
Qualifications:
Education:
Registered Professional Engineer. Certifications such as CFA (Certified Financial Analyst), PMP (Project Management Professional), and CEM (Certified Energy Manager) are advantageous.Experience:
Proven ability to map strategic plans.Preferred Skills:
Candidates with substantial experience in energy performance contracts are preferred. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. Excellent analytical abilities.Proficient in computer applications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Project. Familiarity with Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, and other relevant software.Exceptional customer relationship management skills. Leadership and management capabilities.Bilingualism is mandatory. Proficiency in French and English is required.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to obtain a secret level security clearance. Willingness to travel to various project sites across Canada is essential.About Johnson Controls:
