About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at 2208766 ALBERTA INC. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in the fabrication and maintenance of ocular prosthetics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, build, and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear to meet the specific needs of our patients.
  • Design and fabricate ocular implants using advanced techniques and materials.
  • Plan and prepare menus and diets for individuals or groups under the direction of a dietitian or nutritionist.
  • Assist in supervising personnel who prepare and serve food in our healthcare facilities.
  • Paint the iris and pupil of artificial eyes to create realistic and natural-looking prosthetics.
  • Take precise body or limb measurements of patients to ensure accurate fitting of prosthetic devices.
  • Advise patients on the proper use and care of prostheses and orthoses to ensure optimal results.
  • Bill third-party insurers for services rendered.
  • Help patients complete menus and provide personalized dietary recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • Assist dietitians with research in food, nutrition, and food service systems to improve patient outcomes.
  • Clean and restore ocular prostheses to their original condition.
  • Advise patients on the importance of proper care and use of ocular prostheses to prevent damage or complications.
  • Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Consult with ophthalmologists to discuss the insertion of ocular prostheses and ensure seamless integration with our healthcare services.
  • Examine and measure patients to develop working sketches of appliances that meet their specific needs.
Work Environment

You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks, and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
