Director, Health, Safety, and Environment

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, Health, Safety, and Environment to join our team at Svante. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive environmental health and safety program that ensures the well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a robust HSEC program that aligns with company safety core values and meets business goals.
- Lead the HSEC team and provide operational support to all levels of the organization, ensuring a culture of safety as everyone's responsibility.
- Provide HSEC leadership, training, and operational support to all departments, ensuring safe work practices are in place throughout the organization.
- Maintain excellent relationships across all departments to ensure effectiveness of the HSEC program, listening to customer needs and building leader capabilities.
- Establish systems for regular auditing, measurement, and reporting of HSEC goals and KPIs, ensuring high worker safety across the organization.
- Minimum + years of experience as a Senior Leader in HSEC, with - years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, construction, or engineering technology environments.
- Education and certifications in HSEC that ensure implementation of HSEC best practices, culture of safety as everyone's responsibility, and compliance in every jurisdiction where Svante operates.
- Ability to exercise broad judgment within generally defined practices and policies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with leaders and influence change.
- Strong customer service skills, including ability to build credibility and trust.
- Excellent team leadership skills, with a proven track record of employee development and mentorship.
- Creation of the Annual HSEC Operations Plan that achieves Safety Vision, aligns with company safety core values, and meets company business goals.
- Operationalization of the HSEC Plan through leading the HSEC team and all programs, processes, policy, and other means in service of a culture of safety as everyone's responsibility.
- Providing HSEC leadership, training, and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups.
