About the Role

At Southlake Regional Health Centre, we are committed to creating an environment where the best experiences happen. As a Program Support Specialist, you will be a member of our team who works with the support of, and in collaboration with, all healthcare providers within the Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reception and patient scheduling services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Perform word processing and clerical functions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Model the organizational core competencies, demonstrating a commitment to quality and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of clerical duties in an acute care healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated keyboarding skills - 50 words per minute.
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Demonstrated current knowledge and skill in the use of medical electronic health record systems.
  • Current experience in computerized provider/physician order entry (CPOE) an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
