Position: Early Childhood Educator or Assistant

Compensation: $23.81 per hour along with Government Wage Enhancement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with children, ensuring quality care and innovative programming.
  • Work across different centers while maintaining a primary base at the designated care and learning facility.
  • Foster and sustain positive daily communications and interactions with families.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a consistent, child-centered program.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Comply with all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience in a child care or recreational environment.
  • Current child care First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Reliable transportation within the region.
