Job Summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Safely operate a tractor-trailer and transport goods across the country, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo information to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with central dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Documentation: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete any necessary paperwork and documentation.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience as a truck driver, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to sit for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
