Cost Control Analyst

Position Overview:
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the Cost Control, Schedule Management, Progress Monitoring, and Change Management aspects of various projects within our Ledcor Technical Services division. This role is primarily remote, reflecting our commitment to employee well-being and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project by analyzing contract details, scope, estimates, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with senior team members to create a Project Controls Plan (PCP) and establish baseline budgets and schedules.
- Assist in preparing project schedules by gathering input from various stakeholders including clients, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Conduct weekly meetings with construction teams to review progress and provide necessary updates for reporting purposes.
- Ensure accurate tracking of project progress to facilitate timely invoicing and financial reporting.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
- Maintain and update the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) using standard methodologies.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to manage changes to project scope, costs, and schedules.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in project controls.
- Experience in the engineering and construction sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with linear construction projects such as Transmission & Distribution, Telecommunications, or Pipeline work is advantageous.
- Experience with project controls in a program or portfolio context is a plus.
- Proficiency in tools such as InEight, Quickbase, P6, and JD Edwards is beneficial.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Power BI are required.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) methodologies is essential.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

- This position is primarily remote, with occasional requirements to attend meetings or site visits as necessary.
