Who are you?
You are a seasoned Cost Consultant with at least 5 years of post-graduate experience, looking for your next career move or currently fulfilling a similar role in a comparable setting.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the creation of cost estimates for projects from inception to completion.
- Analyzing tender submissions to ensure clients receive optimal value.
- Participating in value engineering discussions to determine the best solutions for clients.
- Assessing and managing contract variations, including evaluating cost implications and negotiating changes with stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining detailed financial reports to accurately track project expenses and forecast future costs.
- Conducting benchmarking for validation and target-setting on major initiatives.
- Taking a lead role in client and consultant interactions throughout all project phases.
- Collaborating within project teams to ensure client objectives are met and achieved.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering / Construction Management and/or relevant certification or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in cost estimation roles across various project phases.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations is advantageous (CIQS / RICS).
- Proficiency with cost estimating software and tools.
