Hire Resolve is currently in search of a proficient and seasoned Procurement and Contracts Coordinator to support our client in the Mining sector.

Our client is a reputable organization within the mining industry, seeking a dedicated professional to oversee their procurement functions and ensure effective and economical purchasing.

As a Procurement and Contracts Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass managing procurement operations, which include the sourcing and acquisition of materials, services, and equipment essential for mining activities.

You will collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, such as vendors, suppliers, and internal departments, to guarantee timely and cost-efficient procurement while upholding high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies and policies to enhance procurement efficiency in the mining sector.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts and terms, and cultivate supplier relationships.
  • Ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for mining operations, while maintaining budgetary control and optimizing efficiency.
  • Work alongside internal teams to ascertain procurement requirements, predict demand, and create procurement plans.
  • Monitor supplier performance, oversee deliveries, and address any issues or disputes that may arise during the procurement process.
  • Maintain precise procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and company policies throughout all procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement and Contracts Coordinator in the mining sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and best practices within the mining industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic mining environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations and compliance requirements in the mining sector.
