Job Description

The Social Media Director at Arts and Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) plays a pivotal role in leading the digital marketing strategy and execution for the organization. Working closely with the Commissioner of Marketing and Communications, the Social Media Director oversees all social media platforms to enhance ASUS's online presence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute a Comprehensive Social Media Strategy: Create and implement a strategic plan to enhance ASUS's online presence and engagement.
  • Monitor Trends and Analyze Data: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and analyze data to identify opportunities to optimize social media performance.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all platforms.
  • Create Engaging Content: Develop and create engaging and relevant content for ASUS's social media channels, including posts, stories, and multimedia assets.
  • Maintain a Content Calendar: Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely communication with the audience.
  • Monitor and Respond to Comments: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Present Findings and Recommendations: Present findings and recommendations to the Marketing and Communications Officer and the team regularly.
  • Enhance Social Media Presence: Proactively suggest and implement ideas to enhance the overall social media presence and effectiveness of ASUS.
Requirements
  • Eligible candidates must have paid the Arts & Science Undergraduate Membership Fee.
  • Time commitment of 6-8 hours/week.
  • Must have a strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
