Role Overview

As a Senior Application Development Team Lead, you will guide and optimize the performance of our dedicated AppDev team. This involves daily monitoring, taking corrective actions when needed, and ensuring adherence to departmental standards and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive supervision to the technical team.
    • Coach staff for enhanced productivity and customer relations.
    • Conduct performance appraisals and ensure training needs are met.
    • Guarantee compliance with IESO policies and procedures.
  • Delivery Responsibilities
    • Negotiate delivery terms with internal and external clients.
    • Communicate the impact of work products to stakeholders.
    • Provide technical guidance to troubleshoot systems.
    • Manage small to medium-sized projects.
  • Continuous Improvement Responsibilities
    • Identify areas for service delivery improvement.
    • Establish best practices for development and support.
    • Stay current on industry trends and tools.
  • Vendor Engagement
    • Collaborate with vendors for service delivery.
    • Participate in vendor selection processes.
    • Ensure vendor development practices align with guidelines.

Requirements for Success

  • University education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in resource and project management.
  • Familiarity with multiple delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, APIs, ETL, DevOps, Microservices, and more.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
