Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements.
    • Interpret and adhere to company policies, procedures, and philosophies.
    • Manage medications as prescribed and observe changes in condition, reporting them to the Director of Health and Wellness.
    • Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and verify narcotic counts.
  • Facility Maintenance
    • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and personnel.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Participate in orientation and in-service programs, and on standing committees as assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.
    • Liaise with family members when required, and act as a resource for questions and concerns regarding practices or related healthcare issues.
    • Report unusual occurrences, safety hazards, or illness or problems with clients to the Supervisor.
  • Professional Development
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • CNO Renewal Receipt for the current year.
  • Photo ID.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check in ON (within 6 months).
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shift times.
  • Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
