Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at PeopleCare Communities Inc. as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring
  • Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, including wheelchair and stretcher transport
  • Administer first aid and provide basic life support as needed
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and linen management
  • Participate in recreational activities and provide companionship to residents
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure residents receive high-quality care
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
  • Immunization records and tuberculosis test
