Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at PeopleCare Communities Inc. in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany residents on outdoor recreational activities
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including supplying and emptying bed pans, taking vital signs, and serving meal trays
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming residents
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Collect specimens and administer first aid in emergency situations
  • Provide personal care and companionship to residents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and linen services
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
