About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Consultant to join our team at the Halton District School Board. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychoeducational assessments and interventions for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement evidence-based strategies to support student learning and well-being
  • Provide professional development and training to educators and other school staff on topics related to student learning and development
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventative programs and initiatives to support student well-being and academic success
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide psychological services for children and adolescents
  • Experience working as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with mental health, special needs, and programming
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Experience working in a school board setting
  • Experience working with students, including at-risk students, parents, educators, and other school-based staff
  • Proficiency in data management, analysis, reporting, and presenting results
